Child

      "Child" means any person under the age of 18 years, unless legally emancipated by reason of marriage or entry into a branch of the United States armed services. [20 ILCS 515/107] (R 336)

      "Child" or "youth" means any person for whom the Department is legally responsible who is 13 years of age or older but is less than 18 years of age. (Rule 411)

      "Child" means any person under 18 years of age. For purposes of admission to and residence in child care and maternity centers, the term also means any person under 21 years of age who is referred by a parent or guardian, including an agency having legal responsibility for the person pursuant to the Juvenile Court Act or the Juvenile Court Act of 1987.
